JOIN THE RIDE

Sixteen students were selected from around the state through a nomination process to form the WHSAA Student Advisory Council. These students spent time evaluating our current sportsmanship initiatives and what other states around the country are doing to address sportsmanship issues. Elliot Hopkins, Director of Educational Services, from the NFHS joined the group to facilitate the process. It was a productive session that produced a new initiative called “Join the RIDE!” These sixteen students will be facilitating District Summits that are scheduled for November and December. These summits will be designed so that each school may bring their student leaders to learn and return the core values of this new initiative to their schools. Click on the link below to learn more about this initiative. We encourage each of you to “Join the RIDE!

2008-09 MEDIA INFORMATION

In order to facilitate the disbursement of media passes for all WHSAA sponsored district, regional, and state activities, the WHSAA will be working in conjunction with the Wyoming Association of Broadcasters and the Wyoming Press Association.

ADM FIGURES FOR THE 2009-10 & 2010-11 RECLASSIFICATION CYCLE

The following numbers will used for the WHSAA reclassification cycle for 2009-10 and 2010-11. These figures were obtained from the spring ADM's turned in (WDE600) by each School District to the State Department of Education. The ADM's from grades 7-10 determine the 2009-10 figure and the ADM's from grades 6-9 determine the 2010-11 figure. The average of those two figures will be used for classification purposes.
